On Giving Tuesday 2023, a fantastic event unfolded at Tropical Smoothie Cafe and DYNE Hospitality Group, hosted in collaboration with the Jacksonville Jaguars. A thrilling Belly Flop Competition for a Cause took place at the Tropical Smoothie Cafe Spa Cabanas within the Jaguar stadium. Three passionate volunteer belly floppers represented distinct charities – Special Olympics Florida, Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Florida. Jaguars players Roy Robertson-Harris, K’Lavon Chaisson, and Director of Player Engagement & Youth Football, Marcus Pollard, served as coaches to the competing belly floppers. Winners were determined via Instagram fan voting on Giving Tuesday, resulting in a generous $50,000 donation from Tropical Smoothie Cafe.
During the Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Baltimore Ravens game on December 17th, DYNE Hospitality Group’s Co-CEO, Nick Crouch, presented a remarkable $25,000 check to Special Olympics Florida, declared as the victors of the Belly Flop Competition for a Cause! The runner-up, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Florida, received a commendable $15,000, while the third-place holder, Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida, was honored with a $10,000 check from Tropical Smoothie Cafe. Heartfelt appreciation to the Jacksonville Jaguars for their outstanding partnership and the incredible opportunity to support three exceptional local organizations. Go Jags!
